Patties with thread are used to mop blood, fluids and as protective cover for delicate tissues in Neurosurgery and many other specialties. Purpose of thread is to identify the inserted patty.

SURGIWEAR has developed world class patties. These are made of spun laced/thermally bonded non woven fabrics. Most of them have viscose as main fiber. These are highly absorbent.

Advantages:

• Mechanically/thermally bonded fibers reduce shedding of fibers, reduced linting.
• Bonded fibers make removal of patties easy
• Radio-opaque types can be identified om x-ray pictures.

Description:
Non radio-opaque types have black nylon thread bonded with the patties. Radio-opaque types have ‘blue polypropylene with bariun sulphate’ thread bonded with the patties.
